She is the co-creator and co-writer of the comic book series LUMBERJANES, a New York Times best-seller and modern middle grade and young adult classic, which has been honored with a GLAAD Award, multiple Eisner Awards, and numerous other accolades throughout its ten years. She is also the co-writer of the hit graphic novel HOLLOW, and a writer of animation, comics, and prose.
As an editor, she is best known as the founder and former editorial head of BOOM! Box line at BOOM! Studios, the imprint behind critically acclaimed, award-winning comics and graphic novels like GIANT DAYS, THE BACKSTAGERS, LUMBERJANES, FENCE, GOLDIE VANCE, HEAVY VINYL, THE AVANT-GUARDS, and many, many others. BOOM! Box has been cited as a bombastic, positive force in young adult comics in the United States, helping shape the market’s demographics in a pop, progressive direction and power its explosive growth over the past decade and a half.
