He writes the popular Science Behind the Fiction column, exploring the real-world science behind your favorite shows and movies, for SYFY Wire. And he’s been interviewed by NPR’s “All Things Considered” and the BBC’s “The Naked Scientists” as an expert on the intersection of science and stories. Cassidy’s other bylines include NBC, USA, StarTrek.com, SlashGear, Observer, and The Daily Beast. He was named 2024 Writer of the Year by the League of Utah Writers.
