Literary Associate to Joanna Volpe
A Midwestern transplant, Emily Berge-Thielmann grew up in the boonies of rural Iowa. She attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a degree in Film & Television with a focus in Screenwriting. Emily’s short films have been featured on Vimeo’s Short of the Week, Nitehawk Shorts, and screened at the British Film Institute. Emily cut her teeth as an indie bookseller at Labyrinth Books in Princeton, NJ, where she caught the bug of working with books. She has also worked at a book packager in marketing, publicity, and creative development. At New Leaf, Emily is excited to champion great storytelling. Emily’s passions include reading books late at night, watching movies from the 90s, and fantasizing about solving unsolved mysteries.
