Emily Unwin

Emily Unwin (she/her) is a queer writer who splits her time between the American Southeast and the United Kingdom. In 2023, Emily was endorsed by Arts Council England to live and work in the UK under the Global Talent Visa, with Exceptional Promise in Literature. Emily has published in The London Magazine, Litro, Polyester Zine, and Gigantic Sequins, among others. She’s the recipient of The White Pube’s Creative Grant for the development of her short story collection, and she’s been a finalist for the Gigantic Sequins flash fiction prize, the Get Artistic grant, and the Perennial Press Chapbook Award. Currently, Emily works as the Course Coordinator for Granta Writers’ Workshop.
